UNICO Offers Local Scholarships

The Waterbury Chapter of UNICO National is accepting applications for LOCAL one-time scholarships from students of Italian descent that live in and/or attend school in Waterbury. In addition, applications will also be accepted for the 4 four-year NATIONAL scholarships [Major Don Gentile, William C. Davini, Alphonse A. Miele, Theodore Mazza] from students of Italian descent in Waterbury and surrounding towns. Students must be graduating seniors intending to pursue higher education; possess an academic average for four years of 85 or above; have transcripts showing recent rank in class and the scores obtained on SAT or ACT; demonstrate some financial need and have participated in extra-curricular activity or community involvement.

Application forms must be completed in their entirety. ALL completed applications must be received by the Waterbury Chapter no later than April 1, 2012.
