The Hermann Sohne Liederkranz of Thomaston will celebrate its 75th Anniversary with a gala concert at 8pm at the Thomaston Opera House. In 1931 a group of 26 German immigrants, many of whom came to Thomaston to work in the flourishing clodk industry, came together to continue their tradition of German choral singing. The Liederkranz is one of the top German-American Male choruses in New England and has been acclaimed as the premier men’s chorus at competitions with German choruses in New England.
