April 19
National Poetry Month will be observed at the Bronson Library with evening programs on the last two Wednesdays of April. Both programs will be held in the auditorium at 7pm. Members of the Connecticut Poetry Society will share their works with the public in a program organized by Sandra Bologna Maineri. Other participants include Lorna Cyr, and Ina Morris. Mrs. Maineri will also read from the works of Anna Grannism a noted Connecticut poet who has been honored by being listed in Who’s Who in American Poetry. Bob Veillette will read and discuss some of the works of William Shakespeareon the 26th in a program called “Shakespeare 442 Years Later.” This event closely coincides with the birthday of the bard, thought to be April 23rd. Both Maineri and Veillette have volunteered their services for the musical programs.
